A disgruntled group within the ANC’s biggest region in the country is demanding President Jacob Zuma’s urgent intervention in ongoing struggles for municipal jobs that have divided the party into splinter groups.
OR Tambo region, which was instrumental in Zuma’s presidential victory in Polokwane, has split into two factions, supporting separate candidate lists for the May 18 elections.
A group opposed to the list already handed to the Independent Electoral Commission has indirectly criticised Zuma’s silence, demanding it was time he spoke out. Read more: Dispatchonline
